2025 Emergency Care Conference Call for Speakers
Conference Dates: March 19th, 20th, & 21st, 2025
The call for speakers for the NJ Emergency Care Conference 2025 is now OPEN!
We are accepting submissions for 30 & 60-minute program presentations, as well as submissions for extended half and full day sessions. All extended, half and full day sessions will take place on March 19th, 2025.
Speakers are encouraged to submit multiple presentations for consideration. New speakers are encouraged to apply.
Suggested topics based on past evaluations include:
Clinical –ESI triage, sepsis, geriatrics, STEMI, stroke, overdoses, challenges in pain management (patients who are anticoagulated or have substance misuse disorders), street drugs, long COVID syndrome, care of patients undergoing gender affirming care, palliative care, animal bites, perinatal bereavement
Critical Care and Critical Care Transport– sedation and analgesia, ventilator physiology and optimization, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial Lines, ventriculostomies, high acuity patient transport
Psychiatric related topics: suicide assessment & prevention, psychiatric emergencies, pediatric behavioral health, psychiatric medications, care of the patients with opioid use disorder or alcohol use disorder, early medication assisted therapy for opioid use disorder in the ED
Trauma - resuscitation of peds & adult trauma patients, management of multiple system trauma, orthopedic, spine and facial trauma, low volume/high acuity procedures, eye injuries, inhalation injuries and burns, chest trauma, active shooters and gun-related trauma
Pediatrics – diabetic emergencies, peds oncology, peds stroke, care of special needs children, neonatal emergencies, pediatric behavioral health
Obstetrics - perinatal loss, ED delivery, pregnancy and hypertension, complications from abortion
Leadership/Management/Education - staff engagement, care of the challenging ED family, patient and employee satisfaction, ED patient throughput, ED charge nurse skills, ED boarding, ED residency programs, mentorship; employee recruitment and retention strategies, difficult conversations
Forensics – human trafficking, drug facilitated sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, non-fatal strangulation
