Dear Emergency Nurse,

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 NJENA Emergency Care Conference. For 41 years, the New Jersey Emergency Nurses Association has presented the largest volunteer-run emergency nursing conference.  We pride ourselves on providing a robust line up of nationally recognized speakers, opportunities to network with a wide range of vendors and, most importantly, time for attendees to network with fellow ED nurses from around the country.  

 Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID -19 and its impact on our attendees, speakers and exhibitors, we feel as though we would not have been able to provide participants the conference experience everyone expects when attending ECC. As a professional organization, our first responsibility is to the health and safety of our members. As leaders in our field, we understand the importance of being present and engaged where the community needs us, which is at the bedside. 

 Due to these unforeseen circumstances, we will be refunding everyone’s payments in full.  Please be cognizant that this is an unprecedented situation and as a volunteer organization, we ask for your patience as we distribute reimbursements.  We anticipate it will take 6-8 weeks for you to receive a check in the mail.  We appreciate your understanding and will work tirelessly to process everything in a timely fashion.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Kathy Findlay at Kathleen.Findlay@newjerseyena.org.  

 The Tropicana has assured us that they will cancel all reservations that were booked under the NJENA block.  This should occur in the next 24 hours and any fees associated with a credit card or debit card hold will be refunded within 3-4 weeks.  If you have unsure if you booked under the block or if you have any concerns, we encourage you to contact the Tropicana at 1-800-247-8767. 

 NJENA recognizes the dedication you all have to our organization and the nursing profession, even during the most challenging times.  We will continue to support and engage you throughout the year.  We hope you will all join us for our 43rd Emergency Care Conference in Atlantic City, March 17-19, 2021.
